What I ate today is my new series for this blog. It is not necessarily a daily blog, but I will put up nice food pictures a few times a week just to share with you some nice food in Hong Kong!
I am all about finding good food for lunch. Luckily, working in Hong Kong means you can enjoy delicious meal with a very reasonable price.
Today, we went to Yummy Delight (甘味讚岐手打烏冬), an Japanese restaurant in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, for a lunch. The restaurant itself was not a catch. Its just one of the other restaurants in the mall, nothing special. All I can say is nice, clean and with average Japanese decoration. Service wise, there was not much service to be honest. So there really is nothing much to comment on.
Food on the other hand, was surprisingly nice! I ordered a Beef Fried Rice in Stone Bowl from the set lunch menu. Although it took them 20 minutes to prepare the meal, it was all worth the wait. The fried rice comes in a hot stone bowl created a lovely sizzling sound. Both beef and fried rice are nicely cooked. But what I loved the most was its sauce. Its a 'sticky soy/ gravy" with a hit of sweetness, this sauce is a perfect compliment to the whole dish!
This was from their set lunch menu. Together with an Iced Lemon Tea, it costed me HKD 56 (Approximately USD 7).
